You're invited to the SETSA Autumn Meeting 2025, which will include:

Submission Guidelines

  • 1. The SETSA committee invites anaesthetists in training, SAS grades, foundation doctors and medical students to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation for the SETSA Autumn Meeting 2025 hosted by Princess Royal University Hospital.

    2. Please indicate whether you wish your work to be considered in the category of: Audit and Quality Improvement, Research or Case Report/Series.

    3. Abstracts should be submitted as a word document formatted as follows: single line spacing, Arial font size 11, maximum length 2500 characters (including spaces, excluding title, authors and affiliations, headings, and references).

    4. The work outlined in the abstract must have been done primarily by the anaesthetist, doctor, or student submitting the abstract. Approval by the local ethics committee must have been given where appropriate, and consent should be obtained in writing for Case Reports.

    5. For audit, QI or original research please use the headings: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), References. For case reports, please use the headings: Description, Discussion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), References. Maximum two references per abstract.

    6. One image or table is permitted in each abstract. Tables are excluded from the character count but should be no longer than 12 rows.

    7. Submissions should be made electronically to pruhsetsa2025@gmail.com no later than 23:59 on 20th October 2025. Please indicate whether you wish your abstract to be considered for oral or poster presentation, or both.

    8. The oral/poster presentation may be delivered by any of the authors listed on the abstract. The presenting author must be registered as a delegate at the conference.

You will be informed after abstract submissions close if your submission has been accepted as a poster or as an oral presentation. Prizes will be available and will be announced on the day!
