    Aims:

    • Increase understanding of micro-aggressions, systemic racism and how they manifest in healthcare and professional environments.
    • Explore the impact of racism on individuals, teams, workforce retention, and patient care.
    • Amplify lived experiences alongside data, policy, and organisational perspectives
    • Clarify what effective allyship looks like in practice, not just intention, but action.
    • Encourage reflection, accountability, and commitment to creating safer, more inclusive workplace

     

    Learning Objectives:

    • Define micro-aggressions, racism, and allyship and recognise how they appear in everyday professional interactions.
    • Understand the lived experiences of global majority staff, healthcare, AHP workforce and specifically radiography.
    • Interpret workforce data and EDI insights relating to racism, reporting, and staff experience within the NHS.
    • Identify the role of allies at individual, team, and organisational levels.
    • Apply practical strategies to challenge microaggressions, support colleagues, and influence inclusive culture.
    • Reflect on personal responsibility and positional power in contributing to anti-racist practice.
