St. Bartholomew's Hospital , London is proud to launch a three day course and simulation for Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) training .
This is a highly interactive course which will include "wet labs" and simulated scenarios and will be run by internationally renowned multi-disciplinary faculty from the Barts Heart Centre.
Barts Heart Centre is one of the country's leading cardiac centres with all the facilities to treat severe cardiac failure and being a national centre for acute severe respiratory failure and ECMO in the UK, we have the expertise to provide Extra Corporeal Life Support training.
We use the Cardiohelp and Centrimag systems for management of patients on ECMO, including retrievals and transport. The three day course is designed for all members of the multidisciplinary team who are involved in looking after patients on ECMO, and will be introduced to and trained with both systems.
