This is the annual Core Topics Meeting in Anaesthesia for the East of England. This is a two day meeting offering lectures in core topics and encompasses the Harold Youngman Trainee Prize.

The East Anglian Association of Anaesthetists Core Topics 2021 and Harold Youngman Prize Meeting will take place on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th November 2021. The meeting will take place on a professional virtual platform run by an audio-visual company as sadly it still remains uncertain as to what the situation with the pandemic will be in November to run a face to face meeting.
The virtual platform will feature the live programme which will be streamed on both days, an area with poster presentations and an area for the exhibitors and sponsors. The platform allows the opportunity for delegates to interact with and speak to presenters, other delegates, exhibitors and sponsors. The platform will be available for up to 2 weeks after the meeting so that you can catch up with any sections of the meeting that you have missed.
We hope that the meeting will prove attractive to all grades of anaesthetist. Thursday is reserved for lectures covering aspects of the Royal College of Anaesthetists Core Topics Matrix. On Friday, the morning session is assigned to trainee prize presentations – this provides an opportunity for trainees within the Eastern region to present research, audit, reviews and interesting cases to a friendly audience. In addition there will be an opportunity for trainee poster presentations. Prizes will be awarded to both the best oral and the best poster presentations. The afternoon session will feature further invited speakers covering Core Topics. The trade exhibition will be on both days. 5 RCoA CPD points will be available per day.
