BAPIO Conference in collaboration with The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals

Several cases over the last few years have drawn attention to the unfair treatment of doctors by medical regulatory bodies and the significant impact of such treatment on doctors' careers and wellbeing. This innovative conference aims to raise awareness on this important issue and to stimulate robust debate by talks from key stakeholders and  doctors affected by such cases, debates, panel discussions and audience interaction.

 Meeting starts at 12 noon with lunch and ends with an evening of exquisite Indian food, wine, music and entertainment. 

 Standard “day” meeting registration(1200-1800 hrs) includes lunch, tea and coffee and attendance at meeting

1. Full Registration (1200-2300 hrs) includes all the above + dinner and drinks
2. An only dinner option (1800-2300) also available to those who want to join the evening celebrations but are not free to join the main meeting during the day.( Partners/non medics are also welcome at the evening event starting at 1800)

The main conference

 Lunch will be available from 1215-1300. 

Programme starts sharp at 1300 and aims to finish by 1800. There will be a coffee and snack break in between.

Audience interaction and questions are actively encouraged. 

Evening function

Those registered for the evening social event are welcome from 1800 onwards. We start with a drinks reception and canapes at 1815. This will be followed by the signing of a “Memorandum of Understanding” between BAPIO and NNUH. The evening entertainment then kick- starts with a Bollywood dance show followed by a 3-course sit -down Indian dinner with wine on the table, interspersed with an evening of entertainment with Indian music and dance ending at 2300 hrs.
