What it is
Delegates attending the same CPD event often travel from the same area. This feature matches them to share journeys—reducing costs, environmental impact, and parking issues while allowing delegates to connect before the event.
Service offered by BookCPD: We handle matching, emails, and introductions. Organisers only need to tick "Ride Sharing" when setting up the event. There is no further intervention required.
The Five Steps

Switching it on: Organisers enable "Ride Sharing" in event settings. Delegates opt-in individually.

The invitation: After booking, interested delegates receive an invitation to provide details (location, timing, preferences).

What we ask for: Participants share their starting location, travel timing window, driver/passenger status, and specific preferences (e.g., smoke-free, pet-free, step-free access).

Finding matches: A week before the event, the automated system matches participants based on preferences, route proximity, and timing windows. Once matched, delegates are proposed a car arrangement.

Introductions: Privacy is paramount. Details remain hidden until everyone in the car confirms. Once all agree, full contact details are shared, and the group coordinates directly.

Privacy & Disclaimer
We prioritize security: contact details are only shared after mutual consent. Postcodes are used as areas, not specific addresses. All personal data is deleted after the event.
