Prof Maneesh Bhatia

Professor Maneesh Bhatia is a consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at University Hospitals Leicester since 2009, Honorary Professor at De Montfort University Leicester and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leicester. He is a council member of the European Foot Ankle Society (EFAS) and secretary of the Education Committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot Ankle Society (BOFAS). As part of these roles, he plays a very active involvement in the fields of education and research nationally and internationally. He has edited four books in the last ten years and received the British Medical Association (BMA) best book award in 2019 for the publication Bhatia, M. (Ed.). (2019). Musculoskeletal Injections and Alternative Options: A practical guide to ‘what, when, and how?’ He has served as an examiner of the Joint Committee on Intercollegiate Examination (JCIE) for 10 years. He has also served as a Specialist advisor to NICE (for Achilles rupture and Cartiva) and NIHR.
