Mr Jesus Vila y Rico

Mr Jesús Vilá is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgeon at Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre and Quirón Ruber Hospitals in Madrid, Spain. He is Past President of the Spanish Foot and Ankle Society (SEMCPT) and President-Elect of the Spanish Orthopaedic Society (SECOT). Mr Vilá specializes in complex foot and ankle reconstruction, total ankle replacement and arthroscopy. His research interests have included complex ankle ligament reconstruction and tendoscopy among others. Jesús runs a successful foot and ankle fellowship programme. He holds an Honorary Certification in Trauma & Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgery (EFAS Certificate). Mr Jesús Vilá has published 2 books, 108 book chapters, and papers in the field of foot and ankle surgery in national and international journals. He participates regularly as a faculty member in national and international scientific meetings and has directed over 30 foot and ankle courses and cad labs workshops. Mr Vilá is the Associate Editor of Foot & Ankle Surgery Journal and has been the Editor of the Spanish Orthopaedic Journal (RECOT).
