I am a Consultant Anaesthetist with extensive experience in regional anaesthesia and ultrasound-guided techniques.I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound and a Diploma Fellowship of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA). I have has over 20 years’ experience using ultrasound-guided techniques in anaesthesia, obstetrics and critical care, and have organised and taught regional anaesthesia and ultrasound-guided vascular access courses. I have also served as faculty on ESRA/RAUK-approved and regional regional anaesthesia courses. My particular interest within peripheral nerve blockade is the use of regional anaesthesia as an enabling technique for awake breast surgery, as well as its integral role in orthopaedic and trauma anaesthesia.
