This study day provides a comprehensive introduction to perioperative anaesthetic care and patient management. It begins with understanding  the basics of anaesthesia and pharmaceutical aspects of anaesthetic drugs, building key theoretical knowledge.

Participants will explore spinal and epidural anaesthesia, followed by essential principles of IV fluid management.

post-operative nausea and vomiting management, supporting improved patient outcomes, and concludes with renal function, including electrolytes and metabolic considerations. Overall, the programme enhances understanding of the anaesthetic practice for recovery practitioners  , promotes safe medication use, and supports clinical decision-making in the recovery environment.
