NI Transfusion Committee November 2022 Conference

A one-day conference for Doctors, Nurses and Midwives in Hospital and Community Care, Biomedical Scientists & Haemovigilance Practitioners. 

Tuesday 22nd November 2022

• Managing clinical haemorrhage / guidelines update
• Lessons from the Serious Hazards of Transfusion (SHOT) team 
• Blood stocks management in NI
• Donation and supply issues in NI
• Controlling the clinical demand of blood in NI
• O Negative challenges, shortages and management strategies
• Digitalisation overload in NI transfusion? Current and future challenges of Encompass, LIMS and BPaT
• The increasing problems of Sickle Cell in NI and management strategies.

SHOT focused sessions and poster viewing also available throughout the day

Posters: Original audit, research or quality improvement projects within both clinical and laboratory based transfusion practice or patient blood management

will be considered for poster presentation at this conference.

Early Bird Registration fee for full day conference with lunch and break time refreshments provided : £60 until 30th September 2022 (while places last)
