A one day workshop providing practical experience with a wide variety of airway equipment, and using simulated scenarios and case discussions to cover the decision making and human factors aspects of the difficult airway.

A one-day workshop aimed at anaesthetists in training or anyone keen to improve or refresh their skills in managing the difficult airway.  The day will include some lectures and practical workshops covering a range of topics including: the paediatric airway; the shared airway; tracheostomy issues; fibreoptic scopes, airway exchange catheters and staged extubation techniques; videolaryngoscopy; front of neck access (surgical cricothyroidotomy); simulated scenarios and discussion of difficult cases including contributing human factors. 5 CPD points applied for.
