Management of coughs and wheezes in young children-Webinar

This one hour webinar starting at 19:00 PM on 23rd March 2023 will be led by Dr Prasad Nagkumar.

He is a paediatric respiratory consultant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital (BCH) and an Associate Professor at the  Institute of Inflammation and Ageing,  University of Birmingham. He leads the severe asthma service at BCH and coordinates the West Midlands paediatric severe asthma network. He has recently been appointed as the Director for Research at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Prasad’s research interests include understanding the pathophysiology of children with asthma an other chronic respiratory diseases and the impact of environmental factors on respiratory health. He co leads the PUSH- Asthma study (prevention of unscheduled health utilisation in asthma) funded by NIHR- West Midlands Innovation fund to reduce asthma attacks in children and adults in Birmingham.  He is also the chief investigator for Childhood Home Asthma Monitoring study (CHAMP) an NIHR- AI funded project.
