Our next DAS Roadshow is set for 25th September 2025 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Birmingham

Join us for a series of seminars and drop-in workshops covering a variety of topics including Awake Vl vs Awake Fibreoptic intubation, case discussions, airway challenges in oral cancer and post radiotherapy, human factors in airway management and enhancing safety through education. Non members - £40 for anaesthetists (includes full membership to DAS for the year) / £10 for ODPs/ANs (includes associate membership for the year)

Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Postgraduate Education Centre, LT1

Location: Level 1, Main Hospital Building

Upon entering the hospital via the Costa Coffee entrance (through the revolving doors), you’ll see a staircase on your left-hand side.
Go up to Level 1, then turn left to enter the Education Centre foyer

Getting to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

By Car – From the M5

  • Exit the M5 at Junction 4 and follow the A38 towards Birmingham for approx. 6.75 miles
  • At a major set of traffic lights, turn left onto A4040 Harborne/Queen Elizabeth, passing Sainsbury’s on your right
  • At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Aston Webb Boulevard
  • Continue straight over the next roundabout onto New Fosse Way
  • At the next roundabout, turn left onto Hospital Way for parking at QEHB (Car Park A) or the old QE (Car Park D)

By Car – From Birmingham City Centre

  • Follow the A38 (Bristol Road) towards Bromsgrove/Selly Oak
  • Continue on the A38, following signs for “Queen Elizabeth / H / A&E”
  • At the fork near the Esso petrol station, take the right fork to stay on the A38
  • At the roundabout, turn right onto New Fosse Way
  • At the next roundabout, turn left onto Hospital Way (Car Parks A & D)

By Train

  • The nearest station is University Station, located less than a 10-minute walk from the hospital
  • The route is clearly signposted from the station

free shuttle minibus runs every 20 minutes between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday. It links: * University Station
* Queen Elizabeth Hospital (old and new buildings)
* Birmingham Women’s Hospital
* Mental Health Trust buildings

Train Route:
University Station is on the Cross City Line, with frequent services (approx. every 10 minutes) from Birmingham New Street (final destinations: Longbridge or Redditch)

Refunds are allowed up to two weeks earlier than the course/event. Full refund (after deducting administrative charge) if cancelled earlier than 6 weeks. 50% refund if cancelled earlier than 4 weeks.
