The day will include: - Bedside ultrasound techniques for paediatric emergencies - Hands-on experience scanning with live models - Interpretation of POCUS findings in acute settings. - Small group teaching with expert faculty Topics covered are: - Cardiac POCUS - Lung POCUS - Abdomen POCUS - Vascular Access. The CACTUS (Children’s Acute Ultrasound) course is an intensive, one-day face-to-face training program focused on paediatric point of care ultrasound (POCUS) for acute care, emergency medicine, and critical care clinicians.


Approved by the Intensive Care Society (ICS) and the Paediatric Critical Care Society, it serves as the foundational training step toward CACTUS Lung and Cardiac accreditation.
