WAIT 2024 - join us for the annual trainee meeting and social event for all trainee anaesthetists in the Wessex Deanery! 

Thursday 14th March 2024 - the conference will be taking place at the renowned Utilita Bowl (formerly Ageas Bowl) near Southampton well positioned for everyone in the deanery.

The committee have been very busy over the summer organising a wide range of interesting and inspirational speakers, details of which will be released soon. These will be interspersed with the usual deanery updates and trainee presentations.

Hot and cold beverages will be provided throughout the day and the cost of the meeting includes lunch. 

The annual meeting will be followed by a drinks reception and meal providing the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues.

Abstracts

We are now accepting abstracts for oral presentations and posters at the conference, this could relate to an interesting case, audit/QI project or original research.

Please send your abstract (max. 500 words) to waitmeeting2024@gmail.com by Thursday 22nd February 2024.

Please specify whether you would like it to be considered for oral presentation at the meeting, a poster, or both.

Meeting only - £75 (this can be claimed through study budget)

Meeting & Social Event (drinks reception and evening meal) - £110 total (£75 for the meeting [that can be claimed through study budget] + £35 for a three-course meal and drinks reception)
