This full-day event offers an excellent opportunity for is open to all anaesthetists, anaesthetic nurses and ODPs who care for children in Scotland to engage in thought-provoking sessions, expert discussions, and valuable learning experiences.

Session 1: Difficult Decisions
Managing complex and emotional decisions in paediatric care is a fundamental challenge. In this session, we’ll delve into sensitive areas like bereavement and debriefing practices. and work through the impact of child loss on families and professionals, and offer strategies for coping and communication in these difficult situations. We will also look at debriefing in clinical practice
Session 2: Critical Care
This session will focus on the management of critically ill neonates and children, with insights into best practices for ensuring effective care from the moment they arrive in the emergency department. In addition, we will host a lively debate entitled “Paediatric ICU is just like Adult ICU”
Session 3: Airway
The final session will dive into the essential skills and knowledge required for managing paediatric difficult airways.
